Chance to study is real life-saver

EDUCATION can be life-changing for any young person.

But for students in Gaza who have places to study here in Scotland, the opportunity could save their lives.

There are 10 students who have fully-funded places to study at Scottish universities and several others who have offers of places.

Dozens more have offers in England and Wales.

Yet none is able to take up the opportunity due to incompetence and red tape by the UK Government.

Understandably there are requirements for granting visas but special measures have to be put in place for people in exceptional circumstances.
