ONE of the best things about being an MP is meeting local people and organisations that do so much good.

The recess provided me with a great opportunity to do that with visits to Alloa and Grangemouth.
Meeting those you represent, hearing about their lives and work in the community provides some of the most memorable moments in an MP's life.
