Ibrox manager wants more intensity and better attitude from squad stars

- BY FRASER WILSON

ROB EDWARDS says he can't wait to work with “devastating” striker Tommy Conway.

The new Middlesbrough manager revealed he has high hopes for the Scotland hitman ahead of the new Championship season.

Conway, who has three Scotland caps, led the line brilliantly for Boro before being subbed after 75 minutes of yesterday's 2-2 draw at Ibrox.

The Taunton-born striker came close twice before being denied a first-half goal by an offside flag that was later shown to be wrong.

The 22-year-old’s power and workrate caused the Rangers rearguard real problems until he was replaced deep into the second half at Ibrox.
