US President Donald Trump’s dreams are in the news again. It was a dream come true for him to secure a nonconsecutive second term.

Not many expected him to be reelected after the 2021 mob attacks carried out by his supporters on the Capitol. Then came the felony conviction which, his critics thought, would ruin his chances of reelection, but he realised his dream of savouring power again. There seems to be no end to his dreaming. Now, he is eyeing the Nobel Peace Prize. Last month, he himself said that he deserved it for having ended conflicts in different parts of the world, especially between India and Pakistan. India has denied his claim. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said, on Thursday, President Trump had ended six conflicts between Thailand and Cambodia, Israel and Iran, Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo, India and Pakistan, Serbia and Kosovo, and Egypt and Ethiopia. He brokered one peace deal or ceasefire per month and it was ‘well past time that he should be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize’, she said.
