Court directs Customs to expedite vehicle scanning process

The Court of Appeal on Tuesday directed Sri Lanka Customs to swiftly proceed with scanning the vehicles using the equipment provided by the petitioner company, in line with the undertaking given to the court.

The bench stressed that the inspection must be carried out without delay, noting that the matter had already consumed considerable judicial time and required finality.

Court of Appeal President Justice Rohantha Abeysuriya and Justice K. Priyantha Fernando observed that the inspection should be carried out without undue delay.
