Tributes after Prince accuser Giuffre found dead at home

VIRGINIA Giuffre, who accused Prince Andrew of sexual abuse, has been described as a "fierce warrior" by her family after she died aged 41.

The campaigning mother of three took her own life at her home in Neergabby, north of Perth, in Western Australia, where she had been living for several years, her loved ones stated yesterday.

They said the "toll of abuse...became unbearable" for her, adding: "She lost her life to suicide, after being a lifelong victim of sexual abuse and sex trafficking.

"She was the light that lifted so many survivors. Despite all the adversity she faced in her life, she shone so bright. She will be missed beyond measure."

She is survived by her three children, described as the "light of her life".

As one of the most outspoken accusers of paedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein and his former girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell, Ms Giuffre alleged she was trafficked for sex with Prince Andrew when she was 17.
