Sultana’s boycott of ‘united’ party

ZARAH Sultana yesterday refused to enter the debut conference of the still-unnamed Left-wing party she co-founded with Jeremy Corbyn, accusing organisers of a “witch hunt”.

Amid claims of a “purge” of some supporters, the former Labour MP vowed: “I refuse to be pushed out.”

It is understood one of her backers, southwest London councillor James Giles, was denied entry to the Liverpool venue. Other attendees were expelled on Friday over alleged membership of the Socialist Workers Party.

Ms Sultana said: “I’m disappointed to see on the morning of our founding conference, people who have travelled from all over the country...being told that they have been expelled.
