We've banned our kids from having phones... just like Prince William

SOPHIE Sullivan is happy for her 16-year-old daughter to travel alone to Australia but won't let her or her four siblings have smartphones.

While the youth worker admits to being addicted to her own phone, she's banned her children from having them until they have finished their GCSEs.

And she is in good company.

Prince William has revealed Prince George, 12, doesn't have a smartphone and may only have a low-tech "brick" phone when he starts secondary school.

However, 97% of children in the UK do have smartphones by his age, according to Ofcom.
