MP WANTS SYSTEM CHANGED

My 2 years of hell after false rape accusation

A TORY MP has told of his two-year living nightmare as a political outcast after being falsely accused of rape.

Andrew Rosindell claims that he was "thrown under a bus" by parliamentary officials when the "malicious" allegations were made.

He was arrested in a 5.30am raid on his home and then banned from the Commons while a lengthy inquiry was carried out.

Mr Rosindell, 57, who has finally been cleared of any wrongdoing, will now campaign to change the system to stop this happening again.

In the time he has been away, there have been three Prime Ministers and a change of monarch.

Tomorrow he will return to the Commons for the first time since his arrest and swear allegiance to the King.

He told friends: "I was thrown under a bus and simply left for over 21 months. There has to be a change in the system to stop this kind of thing happening again."

And one ally said: "Andrew's experience shows anyone can 'take out' an MP, simply by inventing allegations about them."
