Greg: 'I lost friends over grief for sister'

The Crown and Sense And Sensibility star is now eager to raise awareness about the issue of grief and encourage people experiencing loss to seek support.

He has teamed up with Afterlife actress Dame Penelope Wilton, who also revealed she gets approached in the street by people keen to discuss grief because they have been touched by the Netflix series.

It scenes in which features her character Anne sits on a bench in a cemetery discussing death with Tony, played by comedian Ricky Gervais.

Greg and Dame Penelope are backing the initiative "Sit With Hope", which was set up by bereavement charity The Good Grief Trust.

It places plaques on public benches that give people links, via a QR code, to bereavement support.

Yesterday, the pair joined the trust to launch the campaign at the Royal Windsor Flower Show, along with TV horticulturalist Alan Titchmarsh.
