Gaza school raid kills 30

AT LEAST 30 Palestinians were killed and more than 100 injured after Israeli forces struck a school in Gaza, according to the Hamas-run Ministry of Health.

Israeli military commanders said the attack targeted the terror group's command and control centre inside Khadija School, near Deir al-Balah.

The site had been used by Hamas to plan hits on Israel Defence Force troops, said Jerusalem officials. It was also used to store "large quantities of weapons".

The IDF said: "This is a further example of the Hamas terrorist organisation's systematic violation of international law and exploitation of civilian structures and population as human shields."
