Church offers young faith, hope and love

THE SURGE in young people attending church shows that in time of fear and division there is a hunger for faith, hope and love.

Established denominations have seen major falls in attendance over the decades but individual churches throughout the country are packed — with dynamic new congregations sprouting up.

‘There is talk of a “quiet revival”, with Bible sales nearly doubling and claims of a quadrupling of 16-to-24 year olds religiously engaged. Modern churches are often at the forefront of serving their community with food banks, counselling services and debt advice.
