Bees and onion! Pollen makes crisps healthier

Scientists have discovered that adding bee pollen to crisps could make them healthier, without compromising the flavour.

Research reveals the natural ingredient boosted the antioxidant content of potato snacks while keeping them appealing to consumers.

The peer-reviewed study was published in Scientific Reports — but without buzz words in its title: Bee pollen as a source of phenolic compounds in potato snacks.
