The visa application for his status faced delays described as “lengthy and distressing” by the family, with questions over whether the family would be permitted to live together in Scotland.
However, following an intervention from Perth and Kinross-shire MP Pete Wishart, the green light has finally been given.
The family celebrated the news with a shindig, with Mr Wishart joined by SNP colleagues in Perthshire South and Kinross-shire MSP Jim Fairlie and local Strathallan councillor Steve Carr.
Following the news, Mr Lukianiuk said: “We're so thankful to everyone in Perthshire for the warmth and kindness we've received since arriving here.
