Event to find homes for ex-commercial hens

A rehoming event is set to take place in Denny tomorrow to help find new homes for close to 300 ex-commercial hens.
-
The gathering is being organised by British Hen Welfare Trust (BHWT), with 285 hens being sent off to happy retirement homes-but only if new owners come forward by today (Friday) at 4pm.
These hens have previously given themselves to lay eggs for our consumption in supermarkets, but have now have reached 18 months old.
