The Northern Railways' Jammu division has upgraded major infrastructure by commissioning an advanced electronic interlocking (EI) system at Bajalta station on the Jammu-Tawi-Udhampur section to enhance passenger safety and ensure smoother train operations, officials said on Saturday.

Officials said due to the ongoing work, four trains have been cancelled, and six are running late.
