Iqbal, a teacher who died on May 7, 2025 due to cross border Pak Shelling at Poonch have served a legal notice upon Zee News (A unit of Zee Media Corporation Ltd) and News 18 India( A unit of Network 18 Group) seeking damages/compensation to the tune of Rs 05 Crore each for airing/broadcasting a false, highly misleading and slanderous news item pertaining to Qari Mohd Iqbal, son of Peer Baksh, resident of Baila, Tehsil Mandi, District Poonch who died on May 7, 2025 at District Hospital Poonch because of Pakistan's Shelling but the two leading News Channels of the country maliciously labelled the deceased as a har
