JAMMU: In a landmark moment for Dogri theatre, Rangyug - Theatre for Self-Realization and Social Change - staged Chanchlo, a soul-stirring 90-minute solo performance that left the audience awestruck and deeply moved.

With not a single prop to hide behind and no supporting cast to fall back on, RJ Juhie Mohan carried the full emotional and narrative weight of the play, delivering a master class in solo performance that redefined the boundaries of regional theatre.

Chanchlo, originally penned in Hindi by renowned playwright Nadira Zaheer Babbar as Sakubai, was meticulously adapted into Dogri by Juhie herself. Under the creative direction of veteran theatre artist Deepak Kumar, and supported by J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, the play found new life on the stage of Jammu - and a new voice in the heart of every viewer.
