Udhampur came alive today with the energetic launch of the District-Level Inter-Zone Sports Meet for Girls (U14 & U17), a spirited event organized under the banner of the District Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), Jammu & Kashmir UT. The meet is more than a competition; it is a bold statement of the region's investment in youth empowerment, athletic potential, and holistic growth.

The ceremony witnessed enthusiastic participation and was held under the leadership of Rajinder Singh Tara, Director General, Youth Services and Sports, with strategic support from Ved Prakash, Joint Director. Adding prestige to the occasion, Romesh Chander Mishra attended as Chief Guest, setting an inspiring tone for the games ahead.
Over 429 young female athletes representing eleven educational zones gathered to compete in a range of athletic and team sports. The event provided a vibrant platform for promoting physical excellence, mutual respect, and the personal development of schoolgirls across the district.
