Two ambulances were at the scene in early hours of morning

- By Newsletter reporter

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man was stabbed during a town centre attack. Two ambulances were at the scene in Stafford where cops taped off a road on Saturday September 27.

Now the force has issued a plea for witnesses to come forward over the Bridge Street attack.

West Midlands Ambulance Service say a crew in the area was alerted to a stabbing with a second ambulance called in.

The victim, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital with what paramedics described as ‘potentially serious injuries’

Last Friday Staffordshire Police said the patient has since been discharged.

Meanwhile investigating officers have also dismissed any link between this incident and a fire on Market Street in the early hours of the same day.
