Our dream cruise was nightmare from start

A SOUTHPORT couple on an ill-fated cruise said their holiday was "a nightmare from start to finish" as they were struck down with a serious illness which they claimed caused "vomiting every 10 minutes".
They were among a group of unlucky passengers who fell ill on the P&O ship as it sailed around the Mediterranean.
Steve and Lynn Smith boarded the MV Ventura on May 10 for a two-week break around the Canary Islands and Madeira.
The couple spent £2,500 on the trip, which was supposed to be a celebration of their birthdays.
But after just two days on board they said Lynn, 60, began to feel unwell, with chest infection-type symptoms which developed into vomiting and diarrhoea the following day.
