The Winter session of Parliament beginning (December 1, 2025) will see the government push its reforms agenda with a legislation to open up the civil nuclear sector to private players, while the opposition is set to rake up the issue of revision of electoral rolls across 12 States and Union territories.

In its inaugural sitting for this session, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is expected to introduce several bills including The Manipur Goods and Services Tax(Second Amendment) Bill, 2025, the Central Excise (Amendment) Bill, 2025, and the Health Security se National Security Cess Bill, 2025. session will also mark Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan’s first day as Chairman of the Rajya Sabha.

Ahead of today's session, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju had convened a meeting of floor leaders of political parties in Parliament on Sunday to ensure floor coordination during the session. This session, one of the shortest, will last only 15 days, with less than 25% of the time allotted to the opposition.

Amid Opposition's slogans of 'Vote chori', Lok Sabha passes the Manipur GST (second amendment) Bill, 2025. The Lower House is adjourned and will resume on December 2 at 11 AM

CPI MP Sandosh Kumar P highlights that distortion of historical facts is taking place and urges the Chair to take care of this. He also asks the Chair to treat small groups fairly, noting that today's small groups may become a big group in the future.
