Swansea Bay eateries feature in prestigious Good Food Guide

THREE Swansea Bay eateries have been named in the top 100 local restaurants in the Good Food Guide 2025.

The Shed in Swansea, The Warren in Carmarthen and Y Polyn on the outskirts of Nantgaredig are among those that made the list for this year's guide.

The prestigious listings are part of The Good Food Guide's 100 Best Local Restaurants 2025, an annual celebration of exceptional, independently-run establishments that bring together outstanding cooking, seasonal ingredients, and a warm community spirit.

It is the second year running that The Shed, based in the city's Marina, has made the list.

Jonathan Woolway, who grew up in Gorseinon, Swansea, had worked for 16 years at much-loved nose-to-tail restaurant St John before he decided to leave behind his role at one of London’s highest regarded restaurants to bring top quality dining to his home city. And the risk has thankfully paid off with The Shed.

The venue, which only opened in February 2024, earned an incredible review from food writer Grace Dent.
