Setback for R360 as they fail to get endorsement from players' union
October 04, 2025
|South Wales Evening Post
THE R360 rebel competition has suffered a setback after the world rugby players' union refused to endorse the concept or any contracts offered to its players, according to reports.
According to the Telegraph the International Rugby Players Association has told its members that it does not support R360 nor does it give permission to allow any reference to the IRPA within any contract.
Former England World Cup winner Mike Tindall told 200 players on Tuesday that funding had been secured for the first three years of R360.
The rebel competition, which is set to start next September, has targeted a host of Welsh players including Jac Morgan and Louis Rees-Zammit but does not have World Rugby approval.
