PUMAS END KIWI CONTROL

ARGENTINA made history in Buenos Aires by beating New Zealand 29-23 to claim their first-ever home victory over the All Blacks.
-
Locked 13-13 at halftime, the Pumas pulled clear after the break through Gonzalo Garcia’s maiden Test try and three penalties from replacement fly-half Santiago Carreras, including a long-range effort that gave them a decisive nine-point cushion.
New Zealand briefly threatened when Samisoni Taukei’aho powered over, but ill-discipline cost them dearly.
The All Blacks had three players sin-binned, ending the first half with 13 men and the match with 14, while Carreras's late kick sealed Argentina's win.
