Lee may have played his final Wrexham game after another devastating injury

WREXHAM star Elliot Lee could have played his last game for the club after receiving a devastating injury blow.

Lee has been a key figure for the Red Dragons since joining on a free transfer in July 2022, helping them achieve three consecutive promotions from the National League to the Championship.

However, the 30-year-old midfielder has yet to make a league appearance in the second tier for Phil Parkinson's side this term, despite enjoying three outings in the Carabao Cup.

The former Luton man has fallen down the pecking order since the arrival of Wrexham's club-record signing Nathan Broadhead from Ipswich during the summer, as well as that of ex-Sheffield Wednesday forward Josh Windass.

The North Wales outfit have now confirmed that Lee, who is under contract until the summer of 2027, will be out of action for 12 weeks after undergoing knee surgery.
