THINKING ABOUT IT, I'VE GOT CLOTHES ON MY MIND

Closet confessions are a popular feature on social media but I have something different for you.
Because I don't buy on impulse, I consider my purchases long before I make them to avoid mistakes. So here are some of the pieces and styling ideas that are living rent-free in my head, whether or not I actually buy them.
Coats with a scarf/shawl scarf attached: Preferably double-faced wool, ideally edge to edge (no fastening) and the scarf/shawl should be in exactly the same colour/fabric and be attached to the coat in a meaningful way (no poppers or zips please), either designed as one-piece or connected with buttons and be big enough to get a dramatic sweep over the shoulder, as if I'm a 1950s film star boarding a private jet.
