Drivers warned ahead of six months of lane closures on M4

MOTORISTS are advised to plan ahead as major road works are planned for six months on a stretch of the M4.
-
The work, beginning on June 9, will be between junction 37 for Pyle and Porthcawl and 38 for Baglan and is to “ensure the safety and long-term resilience of the motorway".
The work involves refurbishment to five bridges on this stretch of the M4 and is said to be essential to maintain safety and prevent deterioration of the road.
The motorway will remain open with two running lanes in both directions for the duration of the works.
