Students looking for a cup upset and another win against the Saints
November 21, 2025
|South Wales Echo
IT’S the third round of the J.D. Welsh Cup this weekend and the current holders TNS visit Cardiff Met University’s Cyncoed campus tonight with 7:45 pm kick off.
-
The Oswestry club have won the trophy on ten occasions and will once again be firm favourites to retain it this season.
However, Cardiff Met defeated TNS on their own patch at Park Hall only two weeks ago in the Cymru Premier League by a 3-2 scoreline.
Fumpa Mwandwe, Jasper Payne and Adam Roscrow were on target for the students in one of the surprise results of the season so far.
Craig Harrison and his TNS team will be looking for revenge after that defeat but Ryan Jenkins’ side will look to produce another surprise in front of their fans at Cyncoed tonight.
