The public is being urged to stay alert and prepared as Storm Bram is anticipated to cause flooding and disruption across the country.

Natural Resouces Wales (NRW) said a series of flood alerts and flood warnings were expected to be issued last night, extending into today.

According to NRW, the potential for significant impacts is high, with South Wales likely to bear the brunt of the storm.

An amber warning for rain was issued by the Met Office affecting Wales, which came into force at midnight and remains in place until 10am today.
