A DARK DAY FOR NEATH AS IRONMEN RACK UP A CENTURY
May 05, 2025
|South Wales Echo
CHAMPIONS Merthyr put the crowning glory on their Admiral Premiership title triumph with 16 tries as they dismantled third-placed Neath 104-0 at the Wern.
-
The Ironmen, having been confirmed as champions the previous week, were presented with the league trophy on Saturday. But not before racking up a century of points.
They were 66-0 up at half-time with 10 first-half tries followed by six more in the second half.
Adam Hoskins helped himself to four tries while Dafydd Thomas bagged a hat-trick.
Craig Locke and Tom Hughes also filled their boots with a brace apiece alongside efforts from Cole Swannack, Aled Evans, Ryan Hughes and Jack Kathrens, with a penalty try completing the scorers.
Ben Jones kicked 11 conversions.
In truth, this was simply one game too far for Neath.
