'Mini-Police' enjoy a rubbish day on duty
May 01, 2025
|Somerset Guardian
Several areas around Peasedown St John received a much-needed tidy-up last week, thanks to the efforts of Year Five pupils taking part in a partnership between the school and Avon & Somerset Police.
-
Wearing their official uniforms, the group of junior officers spent an afternoon litter picking in public spaces close to Peasedown St John Primary School, targeting foot-paths and open areas that had gathered waste over recent weeks.
The initiative is part of the school's ongoing collaboration with local police community support officers, giving children the chance to take part in 'real life' activities while learning about civic responsibility and public safety.
