TSWEU MOKORO (PART 2)
Tsweu, great talking to you. Let's talk about your time at SuperSport United, because when you joined them you were familiar with guys you played with at Barney Molokoane Soccer Academy.
Yes, fortunately I knew guys like Cavan Sibeko, Dennis Masina and Bheki Nkambule. But the competition was tough because we had really good players there.
How different was SuperSport United from Free State Stars in terms of the culture?
Quite a lot because at SuperSport United, we had a lot of guys who went to ZCC. So before matches they used to spray us with ZCC water, ha, ha, ha. I remember one day before a match, they put so much ZCC water on goalkeeper Grant Johnson that his face turned red, it really looked like he wanted to cry, ha, ha, ha. Coach Pitso Mosimane was also different, because when he asked you which player you model your game on, he didn't want you to tell him about local players, ha, ha, ha. He wanted us to model our game on European players and he was the same with trialists. But we were very close.
In 2004, you helped SuperSport United reach the 2004 Coca-Cola Cup final when you lost 1-0 to Kaizer Chiefs. Tell us about that experience.
It was a great experience. I remember that game because coach Pitso told us straight to our faces that if we didn't perform well, he would replace every player in the team. He was very honest with us. Even when we thought we were doing well, he would tell us to pull up our socks. He really expected more from us.
Who were your funniest teammates?
