More unsettled weather on its way to borough

Residents of South Tyneside should prepare for further changeable and unsettled weather this week, according to the latest forecast from the Met Office

A persistent Atlantic influence will keep spells of wet and windy weather in the forecast throughout the week and potentially into the following one.

The core of the unsettled outlook is attributed to a series of low-pressure systems forming over the North Atlantic.

While one system is expected to clear away early in the week, further areas of low pressure are anticipated to progress eastward towards the UK.
