ENGLAND are already receiving pelters from the Aussies - but not all of our boys need to tread carefully during the Ashes series.

Believe it or not, some of them are actually quite popular.

Just look at Ollie Pope.

The former England vice-captain spent a season at Campbelltown Ghosts and made such an impact in Sydney that he was recognised by the New South Wales State Parliament.

"Mate, we just love him," said Graeme Hardy, the then chairman of the club's selection committee.

"He came over here and just fitted in straight away. He was a lovely young bloke.

'There were no airs and graces, he was just one of the boys.
