PEDRO SILENCES THE NEIGHBOURS
August 31, 2025
|Scottish Sunday Express
JAO PEDRO struck to inspire Chelsea to victory in yet another match that was spoiled by VAR and the officials.
Fulham, who ransacked all three points from Stamford Bridge deep into stoppage time on Boxing Day last season, were eyeing consecutive victories at the ground for the first time in their 146-year history.
But ironically, defeat — cemented by Enzo Fernandez’s controversial second-half penalty — means Chelsea v Fulham is now statistically the most one-sided Premier League fixture that has been played at least 20 times.
Chelsea’s loss rate stands at just 8.1 per cent from 37 topflight encounters with their west London neighbours, and this was about as one-sided as it gets — purely because the two crunch decisions both went in the Blues’ favour.
