Unfinished business before Lee gets going

NEW Scotland defence coach Lee Radford won't commit full-time to the national team until next season.

The rugby league icon is currently working in the same role with Northampton Saints.

And the Englishman wants to see out the rest of the campaign before fully cutting ties.

It's the second job share arrangement after last week's news that head coach Gregor Townsend has taken on a consultancy role with Red Bull.

Radford replaces Steve Tandy, who left Scotland in the summer to become Wales boss.

The 46-year-old said: “I've always aspired to coach on the international stage within rugby union and to get that opportunity with a nation like Scotland is an incredibly proud moment.

“I've visited the Scotland camp a couple of times in the last few years and have come away with a great feeling about the place.
