Prosecutors claim teenager was murdered with a sword

TWO teenagers are to stand trial charged with the alleged murder of a 15 year-old boy.

The pair — aged 16 and 15 - are accused of attacking Amen Teklay in Glasgow.

The killing is said to have occurred in Maryhill, an area in the northwest of the city, on Wednesday, March 5.

Prosecutors claim the masked boys — who cannot be identified due to their age - brandished a sword and frying pan at Amen.

It is also said the teenager — who lived in the city with his father but was originally from Eritrea in East Africa - was chased by the boys.

The charge states that he was struck with the sword and left so severely hurt that he passed away on Clarendon Street.
