DONALD TRUMP yesterday called for the UK to “get rid of the windmills and bring back the oil” ahead of his meeting with Sir Keir Starmer.
The US President confirmed he would be holding talks with the Prime Minister in Aberdeen when he visits Scotland at the end of the month.
In an interview with the BBC in Washington, he talked up the city as an oil and gas capital and blasted the current renewables policy.
He said: “We're going to have a meeting... a state meeting with the Prime Minister, and that’s gonna be up in Aberdeen, which is the oil capital of Europe, they should bring it back too.
