Tributes as Express titan Patrick O'Flynn dies at 59

NIGEL Farage led tributes last night following the death of former Daily Express political editor Patrick O'Flynn, at the age of 59.

The ex-MEP had a decorated career at the heart of Westminster's lobby lasting more than 20 years.

As well as the Daily Express, Patrick worked for the Birmingham Post and the Sunday Express. He served as political editor and later chief comment editor at the Express, spearheading the newspaper's campaign to take Britain out of the European Union.

He turned his hand to politics in 2014, joining Mr Farage's UKIP party as director of communications before being elected an MEP that year.
