A MAN of 88 killed his wife of 62 years by smothering her, a jury decided yesterday in a case described by a judge as tragic.
William Haxworth was deemed unfit for trial after being charged with murdering wife Delia.
Jurors were told they therefore did not have to decide whether he was guilty of murder.
