ICONIC Gentleman's Relish will disappear after its maker said the spiced potted anchovies were too niche for modern palates.
The spread, also called Patum Peperium, is a favourite of Nigella Lawson and food writer Mrs Beeton, and was mentioned by Evelyn Waugh and Ian Fleming in their novels.
