Donald thinking about captaincy in 2027 and doing battle with Tiger

LUKE DONALD has left the door open to captaining the Ryder Cup team for a third time in 2027 - for the love of it.

And that could see him potentially take on Tiger Woods at Adare Manor in Ireland.

The European skipper became only the second man after Tony Jacklin to win home and away with the two-point victory at Bethpage Black. And in the jubilant press conference, the European players chanted: "Two more years! Two more years!"

Donald, 47, said: "It hasn't even crossed my mind. I'm super humbled again that they would even mention it. I think I have to sit down and think things through. I won't rule it out, but I want to kind of enjoy this one.

It's usually around 18 months before they announce it. It gives me six months to figure it all out.
