It's a Christmas crime cracker for DI Mervin Wilson as he investigates another baffling murder in sunny Saint Marie

Death in Paradise's DI Mervin Wilson is keeping busy this Christmas with yet another murder to solve in the hot climes of Saint Marie. However, star Don Gilet hopes to have a very different festive season to his onscreen counterpart.

"I want to do as little as possible," Don, 58, says. "I tend to do a lot of driving because my family is spread all over the place and I'm hoping this year I can do less of that.

"I'll just stay in one place and Zoom people, and then turn them off when I've had enough. I don't have many traditions - apart from Morecambe and Wise."

This year's Christmas special sees Mervin and the team called to a Caribbean villa, where four coworkers find a stranger shot dead in the pool. With the murder weapon located thousands of miles away in Swindon, they call on a familiar face for help back in the UK to solve this head-scratcher.
