Jensen dedicates result to under-fire boss

THAT WIN IS FOR JIMMY

ALEXANDER JENSEN says Aberdeen's win at Kilmarnock was for under-fire gaffer Jimmy Thelin.

Days after being jeered off at halftime and the final whistle of the home loss to Hibs, the Dons dug in for a gritty three points.

That's given Thelin some welcome breathing space ahead of a free domestic weekend.

Then it's back to European action next Thursday away to AEK Larnaca.

Dons are bottom of the Europa Conference League following their 6-0 agony in Athens, but there are signs of improvement on the domestic front with a mini-revival in results.

Jensen was among the Dons who delivered a third William Hill Premiership win in four matches.

Stuart Armstrong's first goal for the club and a doughty defensive stand earned a big three points.

Jensen reckons it was typical of the type of win that can revive a Premiership season of struggle.

The 24-year-old said: "It was good to give the manager a win.
