Teenagers face 2-hour limit on social media

TEENAGERS could be banned from spending more than two hours on popular social media services such as Tik Tok under Government plans.

Science, Innovation and Technology Secretary Peter Kyle is mulling proposals to limit phone scrolling time, with a blanket nighttime curfew also possible. An announcement is expected in the autumn.

It comes after Deputy PM Angela Rayner warned "the amount of time people were spending alone online" was threatening social cohesion.
