SNP abstain on Palestine Action vote in snub to Yousaf

THE SNP abstained from a vote that proscribed Palestine Action as a terrorist group, in a snub for former party leader Humza Youseaf, inset.

The Nats failed to vote against the legislation that passed in the House of Commons on Wednesday.

Only one of the nine SNP MPs spoke during the debate - Pete Wishart raised concerns whether supporters of Palestine Action may become criminals.

The order was passed by 385 votes to 26 and will now need to be approved by the Lords before it becomes official.
