Tuipulotu urges team to be best version of themselves
CAPTAIN Sione Tuipulotu says Scotland have "been to hell and back together" but are brimming with belief ahead of their shot at making history.
Tuipulotu is determined his men will make the most of the opportunity.
To do that, Scotland will have to smash an 11-game losing streak against an Irish side who are also still in the fight for the title, while also hoping that a beleaguered England team do them a favour when they face tournament favourites France later this evening.
Tuipulotu is clinging to the belief he and his teammates can write their names into the history books and follow in the footsteps of Scotland's Five Nations title heroes of 1999.
The 29-year-old centre said: "We want to make this last week count and work hard for each other. There's a lot on the line with the Triple Crown and a chance to stay in the championship."
The Scots will chase a first Triple Crown since 1990 and the chance to remain in contention for a maiden Six Nations title during Saturday's crunch clash with Ireland.
Gregor Townsend's side were written off following a dismal round one loss away to Italy before bouncing back with successive victories over England, Wales and France.
Tuipulotu is determined to break new ground in Dublin.
The Glasgow Warriors centre said: "We want to be the first of our kind, you know?
