Knife rampage... Thomas Mullen
Thomas Mullen had earlier been sent on an outdoors activities course after admitting possession of a so-called zombie knife.
Yesterday, the 19-year-old appeared at Dundee Sheriff Court and was jailed for 27 months.
Mullen admitted attacking his victim, a onetime friend, by stabbing him on the body to his severe injury and permanent disfigurement in November 2023.
The court heard he flew into a jealous rage and stabbed the innocent teenager after discovering his former girlfriend was in his company.
Sentencing him, Sheriff Tim Niven-Smith said: "It seems you attended, left and came back in a vehicle with two others. It was pre-planned and premeditated.
"You came back mob-handed."
