Three-year deal for Martin
RUSSELL MARTIN'S arrival as Rangers manager has been agreed and is expected to be confirmed before the weekend.
It is understood his appointment on a three-year contract as Philippe Clement's successor is in the final stages, pending contracts being signed and the make-up of his backroom team being approved by the club's newly-installed board.
Martin's long-term assistant boss Matty Gill is believed to have been lined up to follow the 39-year-old north of the border, after the pair linked up together at MK Dons, Swansea and Southampton.
Former Ibrox full-back Maurice Ross has also been earmarked for a key role in the coaching staff if Martin lands the top job, with further additions expected.
Martin has emerged as the clear front-runner following a major plot twist in talks with rival target Davide Ancelotti.
